A DNA methyltransferase (DNMT) inhibitor. RG-108 causes demethylation and reactivation of tumor suppressor genes, but it does not affect the methylation of centromeric satellite sequences. In combination with BIX 01294 (Cat. No. 1678-5), RG-108 enhances programming.
