Resistoflavine is a rare, boat-shaped, pentacyclic polyketide isolated from several species of Streptomyces, often co-produced with resistomycin. Resistoflavine exhibits weak antibacterial activity against Gram positive and Gram negative bacteria and exhibits potent cytotoxic activity against tumor cell linesin vitro.
