Potent immunosuppressant; reported to be 10 to 100-fold more potent than cyclosporin (C1199). Fungal antibiotic. Apoptosis inducer,depletes cellular sphingolipids. Inhibits proliferation of an IL-2-dependent mouse cytotoxic cell line CTLL-1 (IC=15nM).
