MnTMPyP pentachloride is a cell-permeable, manganese-porphyrin which acts as a superoxide dismutase (SOD) mimetic. It has displayed the ability to catalyze the dismutation of O2-, even in the presence of excess EDTA and it also displays a protective effect against H2O2-mediated damage.
