Actin Beta (ACTB) is one of 6 different actin isoforms which have been identified in humans. ACTB is one of the 2 nonmuscle cytoskeletal actins. Actins are highly conserved proteins which are involved in cell motility, structure and integrity. Alpha actins are a key component of the contractile apparatus.

Anti-human ACTB mAb, is derived from hybridization of mouse F0 myeloma cells with spleen cells from BALB/c mice immunized with recombinant human ACTB amino acids 1-375 purified from E. coli.

ACTB antibody was purified from mouse ascitic fluids by protein-A affinity chromatography.

1mg/ml containing PBS, pH-7.4, 10% Glycerol and 0.02% Sodium Azide.

ACTB antibody has been tested by ELISA, Western blot analysis and ICC/IF to assure specificity and reactivity. Since application varies, however, each investigation should be titrated by the reagent to obtain optimal results.
