Introduction

FSTL1 protein resembles follistatin, an ACTV-binding protein. FSTL1 is an autoantigen associated with rheumatoid arthritis and it holds an FS section, a follistatin-like sequence having 10 conserved cysteine residues.

Description

FSTL1 Human Recombinant produced in E. coli is a single polypeptide chain containing 309 amino acids (21-308) and having a molecular mass of 34.9 kDa.
FSTL1 is fused to a 21 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

Physical Appearance

Sterile Filtered colorless solution.

Formulation

The FSTL1 solution (0.5mg/1ml) contains 20mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH 8.0), 0.15M NaCl, 20% glycerol and 1mM DTT.

Stability

Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time.
For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).
Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.

Purity

Greater than 90% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
