There is a small weight at the proximal end of these forceps that makes them feel weightless. The forceps rest perfectly balanced in the purlicue between the index finger and thumb requiring almost no effort to hold. All the attention of the surgeon can go towards controlling the fine movements of the tips. The result is better control and less hand fatigue.
The suture tying platform is covered with fine diamond dust. Acting as thousands of tiny teeth, these diamond grains provide excellent but gentle gripping power.
