Immunogen: Raised against a peptide corresponding to 14 amino acids near the C-terminus of human ECSIT.

Formulation: Supplied in PBS containing 0.02% sodium azide.
Storage: Can be stored at -20?C, stable for one year. As with all antibodies care should be taken to avoid repeated freeze thaw cycles. Antibodies should not be exposed to prolonged high temperatures.
Function: Adapter protein of the Toll-like and IL-1 receptor signaling pathway that is involved in the activation of NF-kappa-B via MAP3K1. Promotes proteolytic activation of MAP3K1. Involved in the BMP signaling pathway. Required for normal embryonic development.
Tissue Specificity: Detected in heart, brain, lung, liver, skeletal muscle, kidney and testis. Detected in embryonic mesoderm and epiblast, and in extraembryonic ectoderm.
Sequence Similarities: Belongs to the ECSIT family.
Cellular Location: Cytoplasm. Nucleus. Mitochondrion.
