Description: Rabbit polyclonal antibody to CtBP1 (Phospho-Ser422)
Specificity: The antibody detects endogenous levels of CtBP1 only when phosphorylated at serine 422.

Immunogen: Peptide sequence around phosphorylation site of Serine 422(A-P-S(p)-P-G) derived from Human CtBP1.

Purification: Antibodies were produced by immunizing rabbits with synthetic phosphopeptide and KLH conjugates. Antibodies were purified by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific phosphopeptide. Non-phospho specific antibodies were removed by chromatogramphy using non-phosphopeptide.
Concentration: 1.0mg / ml
Formulation: Rabbit IgG in phosphate buffered saline (without Mg2+ and Ca2+), pH 7.4, 150mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol.
Storage: Store at -20?C / 1 year
Function: Corepressor targeting diverse transcription regulators such as GLIS2 or BCL6. Has dehydrogenase activity. Involved in controlling the equilibrium between tubular and stacked structures in the Golgi complex. Functions in brown adipose tissue (BAT) differentiation.
Tissue Specificity: Expressed in germinal center B-cells.
Sequence Similarities: Belongs to the D-isomer specific 2-hydroxyacid dehydrogenase family.
Post-Translational Modification: The level of phosphorylation appears to be regulated during the cell cycle. Phosphorylation by HIPK2 on Ser-422 induces proteasomal degradation.
Cellular Location: Cytoplasm. Nucleus.
