Description: Rabbit polyclonal antibody to CKMT2 (W262)
Specificity: CKMT2 (W262) pAb detects endogenous levels of CKMT2 protein.

Immunogen: Synthetic peptide, corresponding to amino acids 230-280 of Human CKMT2.

Purity: The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen and the purity is > 95% (by SDS-PAGE).

Function: Reversibly catalyzes the transfer of phosphate between ATP and various phosphogens (e.g. creatine phosphate). Creatine kinase isoenzymes play a central role in energy transduction in tissues with large, fluctuating energy demands, such as skeletal muscle, heart, brain and spermatozoa.
Tissue Specificity: Sarcomere-specific. Found only in heart and skeletal muscles.
Sequence Similarities: Belongs to the ATP:guanido phosphotransferase family.
Cellular Location: Mitochondrion inner membrane.
