Immunogen: Raised against a 16 amino acid peptide from near the center of human Bit1.

Formulation: Supplied in PBS containing 0.02% sodium azide.
Storage: Can be stored at -20?C, stable for one year. As with all antibodies care should be taken to avoid repeated freeze thaw cycles. Antibodies should not be exposed to prolonged high temperatures.
Function: The natural substrate for this enzyme may be peptidyl-tRNAs which drop off the ribosome during protein synthesis.
Sequence Similarities: Belongs to the PTH2 family.
Post-Translational Modification: Ubiquitinated by PRKN during mitophagy, leading to its degradation and enhancement of mitophagy. Deubiquitinated by USP30.
Cellular Location: Mitochondrion.
