Specificity: PODN pAb detects endogenous levels of PODN protein.

Immunogen: A synthetic peptide corresponding to residues in Human PODN.

Function: Negatively regulates cell proliferation and cell migration.
Tissue Specificity: Kidney, heart, liver, pancreas and vascular smooth muscle cells. Also detected in aortic intima (at protein level).
Sequence Similarities: Belongs to the small leucine-rich proteoglycan (SLRP) family. SLRP class V subfamily.
Post-Translational Modification: N-glycosylated.
Cellular Location: Secreted > Extracellular space > Extracellular matrix.
