Involvement in Disease: Familial juvenile hyperuricemic nephropathy 4: An autosomal dominant renal disorder characterized by progressive chronic kidney disease, anemia, elevated serum creatinine levels, and hyperuricemia.
Sequence Similarities: Belongs to the SecY/SEC61-alpha family.
Cellular Location: Endoplasmic reticulum membrane.

Localizes exclusively in granular structures in the endoplasmic reticulum (ER).
