Description: Mouse monoclonal (L26) antibody to CD20.
Specificity: Human CD20cy on peripheral and lymphoidal B-cells, germ center of lymph nodes.

General Notes: This antibody reacts extremly well with B cell lymphoma, in rare cases it may also react with T cell lymphoma. In Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma Reed Sternberg Cells will be stained.
Function: This protein may be involved in the regulation of B-cell activation and proliferation.
Tissue Specificity: Expressed on B-cells.
Involvement in Disease: Immunodeficiency, common variable, 5: A primary immunodeficiency characterized by antibody deficiency, hypogammaglobulinemia, recurrent bacterial infections and an inability to mount an antibody response to antigen. The defect results from a failure of B-cell differentiation and impaired secretion of immunoglobulins; the numbers of circulating B-cells is usually in the normal range, but can be low.
Sequence Similarities: Belongs to the MS4A family.
Post-Translational Modification: Phosphorylated. Might be functionally regulated by protein kinase(s).
