Rabbit Anti Human Fibrinogen Antiserum


Rabbits were immunized with fibrinogen isolated from human plasma. The immunoglobulin fraction of the antiserum was purified. The protein concentration is 4.9 grams/L, and the antibody titer is 6,000 mg/L.This rabbit antiserum is in 0.1M NaCl. It also contains 3 KIU of aprotinin per mL of antiserum. Aprotinin inhibits the small amount of rabbit plasmin which may be present in the antibody. It prevents any plasmin degradation of fibrinogen in samples during immunoassays.
