Human Factor Xa Inactivated


Human Factor Xa was activated from homogeneous Human Factor X by activation with Russels' Viper Venom. The Russells' Viper Venom was removed after activation. Complete activation is observed via SDS-PAGE . The purified Xa was then inactivated using GGACK, then the inactivator was removed via dialysis. The protein was purified from Human plasma units that tested negative for antibodies to HBc, HCV, HIV 1/2, HTLV-I/II, and non reactive for HBsAg, HIV-1 RNA, HCV RNA, HBV DNA and Syphilis by FDA approved tests. The donors from which the plasma was obtained were also screened for CJD.
