TDMAC (Tridodecylmethylammonium chloride)

Tridodecylmethylammonium chloride (TDMAC) is used as chloride-selective solvent polymeric membrane electrodes. A selective cationic surfactant used in applications with silicone rubber, polymers, and a strong heparin-complexing reagent. TDMAC became one the best solutions for researchers and clinicians looking for improved selectivity over salicylate anions and heparin. Additionally, TDMAC-heparin is used as an antithrombogenic coating for catheters and tubing.
