Description	Mouse monoclonal antibody to HHV-8 virion-associated envelope glycoprotein, a late protein encoded by ORF K 8.1A (228 aa). 52 - 54 kDa fusion protein was expressed in bacteria by ORF K 8.1A. This antibody originates from mouse ascitic fluid and is purified by protein A agarose affinity chromatography.

Specificity	Reactive with lytic cycle-associated late envelope glycoprotein (ORF K 8.1A) of HHV-8. Reactive in IFA, ELISA, Western blot, RIP, Immune Electron Microscopy assay, and flow cytometry1. In IFA, this MAb shows bright fluorescence predominantly localized in the cytoplasm and plasma membranes. No reactivity with EBV-positive (P3HR-1) or HHV-8 negative (BJAB) cells.
