Reactivity: The Irem-2 appears at the end of maturation stage of monocytes, even after the CD14.
Specificity: The anti-Irem-2 is specific for monocytes and myeloid dendritic cells lineages. In normal peripheral blood should be positive for at least 80% of monocytes. The antibody can be used to classify the different types of myeloid leukaemias, especially those with monocytic component.
